Libby Rae Watson Wins Indianola Blues Challenge
Libby Rae Watson from Pascagoula won the 12th Annual Mississippi Delta Regional Blues Challenge - Solo Competition Sunday, October 25th at The Blue Biscuit. Libby Rae will represent the Mississippi Delta Blues Society of Indianola in Memphis at the 32nd Annual International Blues Challenge January 27-30, 2016. Eight solo/duo acts competed in the competition.

Greenville’s own Big Time Rhythm & Blues Band won the 12th Annual Mississippi Delta Regional Blues Band Challenge in Indianola at Club Ebony Sunday afternoon (October 18th). The band will represent the Mississippi Delta Blues Society of Indianola at the 32nd Annual International Blues Challenge in Memphis. 5 bands competed – Greenville, Cleveland, Sumner, Lyon, and Jackson.
The 2015 IBC brought 255 acts from 40 states and 16 countries to Beale Street to compete in the world’s largest battle of the Blues band. Quarterfinals are January 27-28, Semi-finals are the 29th, and Finals are January 30, 2016 at the Orpheum Theatre. More information can be found at www.blues.org
